NFL lineup optimizer checklist — not a lineup builder

This free page is a research checklist for projections, injuries, weather, scoring and market context. It does not generate salary-cap or DFS lineups.

Free NFL optimizer: what you can use today

Looking for a free NFL optimizer? Here is exactly what PropsBot gives you for free, with no signup: a three-player DFS value tool that ranks your players by projected points per $1,000 of salary, the NFL value math and site rules below, and the checklist on this page. PropsBot does not generate full DraftKings or FanDuel lineups; its live optimizer compares pick’em lines with sportsbook prices and is part of a paid plan.

Free value check in four steps

  1. Write down each player’s salary and your projection.
  2. Divide the projection by the salary in thousands: 19.5 points at $6,500 is 3.0 points per $1K.
  3. Compare against the common “3x” benchmark (3 points per $1K): a $5,000 player needs 15 points to reach it.
  4. Before kickoff, check role, inactives, weather and the player’s prop lines; a value play whose prop line moved down may no longer be a value play.

DraftKings and FanDuel NFL basics

DraftKings Classic: $50,000 cap, nine players (QB, 2 RB, 3 WR, TE, FLEX, DST), 1 point per reception. FanDuel full slate: $60,000 cap, nine players (QB, 2 RB, 3 WR, TE, FLEX, D/ST), 0.5 points per reception, at most four players from one team. Both add 3-point bonuses at 300 passing, 100 rushing and 100 receiving yards.

Quick Answer

A free NFL lineup optimizer is a useful starting workflow, but free output is not complete. Check projection context, sport or platform rules, market checks, and where to go when the decision needs deeper proof.

What Makes This Useful

A free optimizer is useful when it is honest about limits. It can help a user shortlist players, review a lineup, check a card, or understand what data matters. It should not claim that a free output is automatically ready to use.

The next pages to use are the NFL DFS optimizer for DraftKings, the NFL lineup optimizer guide, NFL player props, anytime touchdown picks, the free DFS value tool and the PropsBot track record, all linked below.

Practical Examples

Free Does Not Mean Blind

A free NFL lineup optimizer can be a good first pass, but the final decision still needs current news, scoring rules, market context, and risk control.

If the free output does not know the latest inactives, injuries, weather, salary or platform rule, treat it as a shortlist rather than a final answer.

Projection To Market Bridge

Check the projection against the market when possible. A sportsbook prop, Sleeper line, PrizePicks entry, or Underdog card can confirm or challenge the same player assumption. The market does not replace the optimizer, but it can reveal stale or aggressive projections.

From there, move into player props, odds shopping, DFS slip EV, Sleeper support, or track record when the decision needs more detail.

When To Pass Or Go Deeper

Pass when the free output depends on stale data, unclear rules, unconfirmed roles, poor salary fit, weak correlation, or a line that moved too far. Go deeper when the projection looks useful but the final decision depends on payout math, sportsbook price, lineup constraints, or result proof.

Free NFL Lineup Optimizer FAQ

What should a Free NFL Lineup Optimizer include?

It should include projections, lineup or card rules, current news, sport context, market checks, and a clear next step if the free view is not enough.

Is free optimizer output enough to trust by itself?

No. Free output is a useful starting point, but the user still needs current data, platform rules, odds context, and a pass rule.

How does this connect to PropsBot player props?

Player props can sanity-check the projection behind a lineup or card, especially when the same stat appears in sportsbook, Sleeper, PrizePicks, or Underdog markets.

What changes for NFL?

The sport changes the inputs. For NFL that means inactives, injuries, weather, the game total and spread, target and carry share, and DraftKings (full PPR) versus FanDuel (half PPR) scoring.

Free NFL optimizer: quick answers

Is there a free NFL optimizer?

Yes, with limits. PropsBot’s free, no-signup options are the three-player DFS value tool (points per $1,000 of salary), the value math and DraftKings and FanDuel rules on this page, and the checklist above. PropsBot does not generate full salary-cap lineups.

Do I need an account to use the free NFL optimizer tools?

No. The free value tool and the NFL optimizer guides need no signup. The live PropsBot board and optimizer are part of a paid plan: $49.99 per month, $254.99 per 6 months or $419.99 per year.

What is a good value score for an NFL DFS player?

A common benchmark is 3x, meaning 3 projected points per $1,000 of salary: a $5,000 player needs 15 points to reach it. Tournament lineups also need ceiling, so a lower-value player with more upside can still be the right choice.

When should I re-check a free NFL lineup?

After NFL inactives are announced, about 90 minutes before kickoff, and whenever weather, an injury or a big move in the game total or spread changes the expected game script.
