What The Underdog App Offers In 2026
The old shorthand was “Best Ball plus higher-or-lower picks.” The current Underdog app has distinct products with distinct rules. Draft contests involve selecting a roster against other entrants. The displayed return can change with alternative projections, selection multipliers, promotions and correlation.
That last sentence matters more than memorizing the examples. A 0.7x or 1.5x selection changes the entry, and correlated projections may alter the projected payout. Champions prizes can also vary with the performance of the pool. Use the amount shown for the exact entry you are considering.
Best Ball Is Underdog’s Clearest Differentiator
Best Ball is structurally different from a daily Pick’em entry. Players join a draft, receive a randomized draft order and select rosters in a snake format. After the draft, there are no waivers, substitutions or trades. At the end of each scoring period, the highest-scoring eligible players at the required positions count automatically.
The official Best Ball contest guidelines also make clear that entry fees, prize pools, roster sizes, scoring and advancement belong to the specific contest information page. That makes Underdog a strong destination for users who want a draft-first fantasy product.
